Benito: Father of Facism

How could a country that followed a leader into a world war hate him the next? Here in this picture Benito Mussolini is seen hanging for public humiliation. For decades this guy was the sole leader of Italy and brought great success in some parts, but once the war was over and Italy along with Germany lost they took out to kill Benito. How could a country so quickly overthrow the person that was adored for so long?

  1. I was actually wondering that too. I think they started out loving him because of all the promises he made, but then as time went on, they realized what a horrible person he was. Except by that point, he already had too much power and everyone was afraid to say anything against him, because if they did, they died. So I think they hated him for a while, it's just that they were to scared to do anything about it.
