Armenian Genocide! Was it a genocide?
The Armenian Genocide just recently within the past decade has been declared a genocide by only 15 countries. Why are some countries denying it was a genocide and really only an ethnic cleansing of their country. Many compare this genocide to the Jewish halocaust because of the similar time period and the way mass murder was happening. Why is it that more emphasis was put on the Halocaust rather then the Armenian Genocide? Why is the the history of the Jewish Halocaust being taught in schools and the Armenian isnt?

How was world war 1 a global war?/ Why and how did the Germans go to great lengths to detroy Great Britain?
World war ! was a global war because fighting consisted in many parts of the world including Africa, India, Asia, and even South America. Germans had ships all around war, even though they only had 17 compared to Britain's 80 war ships. Germany tried to attack land everywhere because Britain had colonies all around the war and they thought if they were able to shrink the British empire to just Britain then they would be able to conquer them more easily. Also they thought if they attacked Britain in other parts of the world then Britain would pull troops out of France to help out other places. Britain's greatest strength was they they had such a vast empire and the only way to bring them down was to attack their colonies.

Christmas Truce?
The idea of 2 opposing enemies getting together to have a cease fire on Christmas and to adventure across the no man's land to exchange gifts and greetings is something that seems to only be in books and movies. But during WWI on the western front, German and French-British soldiers had a truce for Christmas. This really shows how these soldiers were fighting more for their countries cause instead of their own. These soldiers had more in common with each other then they did with most people from their own country. I even heard that German officials invited British officials to a holiday feast in a barn miles behind German lines. How could this happen today? Would it ever happen in modern times? I really dont think it could but who knows?

Is germany really the cause of WWI?
After WWI ends, the treaty of Versailles really takes a toll on Germany and punishes them for building up their army even though they were not the first country to mobilize its army. How is Germany responsible for the cause of the war when they didnt make the first move? Or are they responsible because they built up there army for the reason of taking over neighboring countries. This would be just like if the United States was being punished by Great Britain because they have to many missles and their navy is to big. What gives the right for Germany to be punished after the factwhen they were only trying to build up their own military preparing for the oncoming war?
